Former New York Jets linebacker Demario Davis has signed a two-year deal with the Cleveland Browns, reports ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
According to Cimini, Davis’s deal is for $8 million and includes $4 million guaranteed.
Davis, 27, collected 90 tackles and two sacks in 16 starts last season for the Jets. In his first four NFL seasons, all spent in New York, Davis accumulated 349 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 64 games.
Davis was a third round selection by the Jets in the 2012 NFL draft out of Arkansas State. As a rookie, he started three games before becoming a full-time starter during the 2013 season.
The Jets have lost three starters in free agency this year, including Davis, Damon Harrison and Chris Ivory.
