The NFL could play a regular season game in China by 2018, reports Fox Sports’ Alex Marvez.

According to the report, some of the league’s teams have already expressed an interest in playing overseas games in China, a relatively untapped football market.

In 2007, the league scheduled a preseason contest between the Patriots and Seahawks in Beijing, but it was called off when the NFL changed its focus to London.

The NFL launched its International Series in London in 2007. Later this year, the league will play three games there, with two coming to Wembley Stadium, and one to be played at Twickenham Stadium.
