Los Angeles Rams receiver Stedman Bailey is still evaluating a return to the NFL, Rams coach Jeff Fisher said at league meetings in Florida.
Bailey was shot in the head twice during a drive-by shooting late last year. The receiver attended a team meeting in California earlier this month, but it is still uncertain—if not unlikely—he can participate in the Rams’ off-season program or spring practices.
“Sted is currently in the evaluation process, seeking numerous opinions from neurologists and the like,” Fisher said Wednesday. “Just to see if he can not only play, but continue with a rigorous physical rehab program that will put him in position to play.”
Bailey, a former third-round pick, has one year left on his contract. In his career, Bailey has caught 59 passes for 843 yards and two touchdowns in three seasons.
