The NFL draft kicks off Thursday night in Chicago, and teams are finalizing their draft boards while doing last minute research on prospects. However, that doesn't mean the rumor mill has stopped churning.

• San Francisco 49ers general manager Trent Baalke told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman that quarterback Colin Kaepernick “could be traded this week.”

• Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford does not want to be traded to the 49ers because of head coach Chip Kelly, reports the’s Jeff Darlington. Bradford demanded a trade earlier this week.

• Former Eastern Kentucky linebacker Noah Spence, a projected first round pick, sent his past 20 drug tests to all 32 NFL teams, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter.

• NFL owners want New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s four-game suspension reduced, reports Bleacher Report's Jason Cole.

• New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees ripped commissioner Roger Goodell, telling that he is “not going to trust any league-led investigations.”

• The Cincinnati Bengals announced they have released linebacker A.J. Hawk.
