Dolphins draft pick Laremy Tunsil held a press conference after an allergic reaction initially kept him from appearing on Friday.

Tunsil was scheduled to speak with reporters Friday afternoon, but Miami VP of football operations Mike Tannenbaum announced when he stepped to the podium that Tunsil would not be addressing the media because he had suffered an allergic reaction.

The Dolphins did not believe the allergic reaction to be stress related, reports NFL.com’s Jeff Darlington.

Tunsil spoke later in the afternoon, which the Dolphins streamed live on Periscope, and confirmed he had an allergic reaction but did not go into specifics. He did not address the many controversies surrounding him in the past 24 hours.

The Dolphins selected Tunsil, considered by many to be the best overall prospect in the draft, with the 13th pick after concerns about a video of him smoking a bong caused his stock to plummet. His Twitter and Instagram accounts were allegedly hacked during the draft.

At his post-draft press conference on Thursday night, Tunsil was rushed off stage by a media relations member after admitting to taking money from college coaches at Ole Miss.
