NFL commissioner Roger Goodell discussed the situation involving Dolphins draft pick Laremy Tunsil during an interview with ESPN’s Mike & Mike radio show on Friday morning.

Minutes before the start of the first round on Thursday night, a video was posted to Tunsil’s Twitter account showing him smoking from a gas mask bong

“I think it’s all part of what makes the draft so exciting,” Goodell said Friday. “Clubs make decisions. Sometimes they take risks. Sometimes they do the right things. Sometimes they don’t, and we’ll see. Hopefully he is going to turn out to be a great young player.”

Tunsil, the top prospect on SI.com’s big board, fell to Miami at No. 13.

After the pick, Tunsil confirmed it was him in the video but said it was taken “years ago.”

Later Thursday night, Tunsil’s Instagram account was also compromised and posted screenshots of text messages purporting to show Tunsil asking a college coach for impermissible benefits.

Tunsil has grounds to sue the person who posted the video and texts, according to SI.com legal expert Michael McCann
