The Chicago Bears have released veteran safety Antrel Rolle, he confirmed on Twitter.
“I appreciate the Chicago Bears and the organization for the opportunity,” Rolle tweeted on Sunday. “Blessed as always. Looking forward to what is next!”
Rolle, 33, signed a three-year, $11.25 million deal with Chicago last March, but started in just seven games before spraining his MCL in November.
The 12-year veteran played in Arizona for the first five years of his career before joining the Giants in 2010. He has made 836 career tackles with 26 interceptions and eight interceptions.
