Report: Johnny Manziel turns himself in for domestic violence charge

Former Cleveland Browns quarterback Johnny Manziel turned himself into police and posted a $1,500 bond for his domestic violence charge on Wednesday afternoon, according to FOX4 News Dallas-Fort Worth.
He is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday. Last month, Manziel was indicted by a Dallas County grand jury on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.

Former girlfriend Colleen Crowley accused the Heisman Trophy winner of kidnapping, hitting and threatening to kill her in January. She alleged that the altercation began at a hotel, before he forced her into a car. She also said Manziel threatened to kill himself on the drive back to her apartment in Fort Worth, from where police were called.
A deal between Manziel's lawyers and prosecutors could be announced on Thursday.

Manziel is expected to be read the charges against him and will be notified of his rights. His legal team will also have an opportunity to enter a plea. Last week, one of his lawyers said he was expected to plead “not guilty.” A not guilty plea would result in a pre-trial hearing.
Manziel will be ordered not to have any contact with Crowley, not possess any firearms and will be limited on travel.
Manziel faces a Class A misdemeanor that carries up to a year in jail and a $4,000 fine.
Manziel was released by the Browns in March, and has been dropped by two agents in three months.
