Carson Wentz signed a four-year contract to be the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback of the future, the team announced.

NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport reports the deal is worth $26.6 million and includes a $17.6 million signing bonus.

Wentz was selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the draft and is expected to compete with veteran Sam Bradford and backup Chase Daniel. Both quarterbacks also signed new contracts with the Eagles this off-season. Bradford reportedly requested a trade after the Eagles traded up to draft Wentz.

The Eagles settled business with Wentz more quickly than the Tennessee Titans did with last year’s No. 2 pick Marcus Mariota, who threatened to hold out heading into training camp.

The Eagles will hold a mandatory mini-camp from June 7 to 9.
