Report: Marshawn Lynch told ex-teammates he might return for 2016

Former Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is already considering coming out of his brief retirement, reports Bleacher Report’s Jason Cole.
Lynch announced his retirement during this year’s Super Bowl, but Cole reports he told two ex-teammates that he has plans to play in 2016.
Cole reports Lynch’s agent does not think he will play, but Seattle cornerback Richard Sherman recently expressed some doubt that Lynch would stay retired.
“I don’t put anything past him,” Sherman said. “He’s about as predictable as a pair of dice. So I don’t try to call his plays.”

Lynch is owed $9 million for the coming season, which Cole says could make the Seahawks reluctant to activate him from the reserve/retired list.
Lynch played in only seven games during the 2015 season as he dealt with injuries, running for 417 yards with three touchdowns. Over his nine years in the NFL the five-time Pro Bowler has rushed for 9,112 yards and 74 touchdowns, and helped the Seahawks win Super Bowl XLVIII.
