New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski missed the first day of mandatory minicamp with an undisclosed injury.
According to ESPN, Gronkowski reported to camp and is working out, but has not participated at practice as the team approaches the injury cautiously.
The injury is not expected to keep Gronkowski out for a significant amount of time.
Gronkowski was named to his fourth Pro Bowl last season after recording 72 receptions for 1,176 yards.
Martellus Bennett has been working as the No. 1 tight end in Gronkowski’s absence.
