NFL to interview players implicated in Al-Jazeera PED report

The NFL will interview four players implicated in the Al-Jazeera America report on PED use at the beginning of training camp, the league told the NFLPA in a letter obtained by USA Today on Friday.
League officials will interview Green Bay Packers linebackers Julius Peppers and Clay Matthews and Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison on the first days of their respective training camps. Packers camp begins on July 26 and the Steelers begin on July 29.
Free-agent linebacker Mike Neal, who formerly played six seasons for the Packers, will be interviewed around July 22.
The letter did not mention an interview with Peyton Manning, the former Broncos quarterback who was also implicated in the report. Manning reportedly decided last month that he would not sue the media company, despite MLB players Ryan Zimmerman and Ryan Howard filing defamation suits in response to the report.
The documentary’s main source, former Guyer Institute intern Charlie Sly, has since recanted all claims he made in the film, but the NFL has continued its investigation.
