Troubled quarterback Johnny Manziel said that he plans to go sober on July 1 and begin training for a return to the NFL, according to TMZ.

That statement comes after Manziel denied knowing a woman staying at the same Cabo mansion as he was, who posted an image on Snapchat that seemed to insinuate drug use.

Manziel has been renting the mansion in Mexico and living with 20 other people.

The 23-year-old has been involved in a number of off-field incidents since being released by the Cleveland Browns. Most recently, his attorney removed himself from the domestic assault case against Manziel after accidentally texting an AP reporter that the quarterback had purchased $1,000 worth of drug paraphernalia.
