Seahawks quarterback Trevone Boykin will avoid jail time in his misdemeanor assault case, reports SeattlePI.com
Boykin was charged Wednesday with misdemeanor assault after being arrested in December following a bar fight in San Antonio. Boykin pleaded no contest to the charge Thursday, and received one year of probation and a $1,500 fine as a result.
Boykin was suspended for his final game at TCU because of the arrest.
The Seahawks signed the former Heisman finalist as an undrafted free agent in April. Boykin is expected to be with the team by the start of training camp at the end of July.
