The Atlanta Falcons have released wide receiver Devin Hester, the team announced on Tuesday.

Hester, 33, saw limited action with Atlanta last season. He missed the start of the year with a toe injury and came back in Week 13. In the last five games of the season, Hester collected 269 total return yards.

The Falcons will most likely use wide receiver Devin Fuller, running back Tevin Coleman or wide receiver Eric Weems at the kick and punt returner position.

Hester still holds the NFL record in return touchdowns and punt return touchdowns with 20 and 14, respectively, over his 10-year career. He played his first eight seasons with the Chicago Bears.

Atlanta’s roster is now at 87 players. The team will report to training camp on Wednesday.
