San Diego Chargers general manager Tom Telesco is unsure if rookie Joey Bosa will sign before training camp, he told The Mighty 1090 AM radio in San Diego.

“I don’t know,” Telesco said. “I guess we’ll see. I really don’t know if he’ll [show up]. We’re still working on it. Hopefully we’ll get something done, but I don’t know.”

Cash flow and offset money within the contract are at the heart of the contract dispute. Bosa’s representatives would like for the contract to be structured so that bonus money is awarded sooner and so he can continue to be paid by the Chargers if he were let go before the contract’s expiration. The Chargers believe they have set a precedent with their contract negotiations and do not want to make the exception.

Bosa has already missed two days of organized team activities and the Chargers’ mandatory mini-camp in June.

Bosa was selected with the third overall pick in the draft out of Ohio State University, where he won a national championship in 2015.

Jets linebacker Darron Lee and San Francisco 49ers outside linebacker Joshua Garnett are the last remaining first-round picks that have yet to sign with their respective teams.
