The Atlanta Falcons have signed veteran safety Dashon Goldson, the team announced Sunday.
A two-time pro bowler, Goldson spent last season playing for the Washington Redskins, recording 69 tackles and an interception in 15 starts.
Goldson had his most success as a member of the San Francisco 49ers, who drafted the 31-year-old in the fourth round of the 2007 NFL draft.
His signing comes after the Falcons lost recent first-round pick Keanu Neal to a knee injury. The rookie safety is expected to be out three to four weeks.
