The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers are discussing a possible trade involving veteran wide receiver Torrey Smith, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports.

According to the report, a deal could be done quickly. The NFL's trading deadline is Nov. 1.

Smith, 27, has only 13 receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns for the 49ers this season.

San Francisco (1–6) has lost six straight games after winning their season opener and their offense ranks No. 28 in the league. They are also in the bottom third of the league in scoring and total defense.

Smith signed a five-year, $40 million deal with San Francisco in 2015 after spending the first four seasons of his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens. He will earn $4.5 million in base salary this season.

In six NFL seasons, Smith has 259 catches for 4,453 yards and 36 touchdowns.
