EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) The Minnesota Vikings have signed running back Bishop Sankey to their practice squad.

The move was made on Friday, two days after Sankey was released from Kansas City's active roster. Sankey spent three weeks with the Chiefs but did not play. He was on New England's practice squad earlier this season.

Sankey was a second-round draft pick by Tennessee in 2014 out of Washington and rushed for 569 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie. He didn't see as much action last year, and then he was let go during final roster cuts by the Titans right before the regular season after they signed DeMarco Murray and drafted Derrick Henry in the spring.
