RGIII out, Kirk Cousins gets the starting nod: Week 15 key actives/inactives

The Washington Redskins' surprising drive to the playoffs will have to continue, for at least one Sunday, without superstar quarterback Robert Griffin III. The Redskins will not dress RGIII for Sunday's game in Cleveland -- "The decision was not my own... But I will be there for my team!!! In every way I possibly can," Griffin tweeted late Saturday.

What other key lineup decisions could impact Week 15? Here are some of the key actives/inactives:

Actives

Danny Amendola, WR, Rams (heel): Amendola has been in and out of St. Louis' lineup all season. With the Rams clinging to life in the playoff race, though, he will start against Minnesota on Sunday.

Dez Bryant, WR, Cowboys (finger): Bryant will play against Pittsburgh, despite an injured finger that will require surgery at some point. He will wear a padded glove designed to give him some extra protection.

Clay Matthews, LB, Packers (hamstring): Matthews will start Sunday, his first action since Week 9. The Packers can close out the NFC North by winning in Chicago.

Terrell Suggs, LB, Ravens (biceps): Suggs will play through the pain of a torn biceps Sunday against Peyton Manning and the Broncos. But how effective will he be?

Roddy White, WR, Falcons (knee): White sat out the entire week of practice, with the hope that the extra rest would help ready him for Sunday's game against the Giants. That strategy

paid off, apparently.

Wesley Woodyard, LB, Broncos (foot): The Broncos' gain is Baltimore's loss. Woodyard will be on the field Sunday, giving Joe Flacco another dynamic defender about which to worry.

Inactives

Earl Bennett, WR, Bears (concussion): With Bennett sidelined against the Packers, Alshon Jeffery and Devin Hester will have to pick up the slack in Chicago's passing game.

Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, Giants (knee): The Giants announced Friday that Bradshaw would not play in Week 15, leaving David Wilson to handle No. 1 running back duties.

Robert Griffin III, QB, Redskins (knee): Griffin recovered rapidly this week after injuring his knee last Sunday -- just not rapidly enough to convince Washington's coaching staff to roll the dice with its franchise player. Kirk Cousins will start against Cleveland, in a must-win game for Washington.

William Moore, S, Falcons (hamstring): Though having White in the lineup will be a boost for Atlanta, the Falcons were not as fortunate on the other side of the ball. Moore will not play, likely making it even tougher for Atlanta to slow Eli Manning and the Giants.

Jordy Nelson, WR, Packers (hamstring): The Packers decided earlier this week that both Nelson and Donald Driver would sit out Week 15.

Brandon Pettigrew, TE, Lions (ankle): Pettigrew hobbled off early in Detroit's Week 14 loss to Green Bay, and he needs at least one more week to come back from that injury.

Jonathan Stewart, RB, Panthers (ankle): The Panthers deemed Stewart out on Friday, meaning that DeAngelo Williams will carry the load for Carolina.

Brian Urlacher, LB, Bears (hamstring): It's still unclear if the Bears will get Urlacher back before the end of the regular season, and he definitely will not play Sunday against Green Bay. Making matters worse for Chicago: Geno Hayes also is inactive Sunday, further thinning the linebacking corps.
