The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed free agent cornerback Alterraun Verner, reports's Ian Rapoport.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but according to Rapoport it is a  four-year deal worth $26 million with $14 million guaranteed.

The New York Jets and the New York Giants were among the teams reportedly interested in Verner.

Verner spent the last four seasons with the Tennessee Titans after being selected in the fourth round of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Last season, the 25-year-old Verner played all 16 games, recording 57 total tackles and five interceptions, earning All-Pro second team honors and being selected to his first Pro Bowl. Verner would presumably replace former All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis, whom the Buccaneers are reportedly trying to reach a resolution with via a trade or an outright release.
