The Houston Texans lost back up running back Ben Tate to the Cleveland Browns over the weekend, so all eyes were on the health of starting rusher Arian Foster to see how soon the Texans would have a healthy running back for next season.

Foster played in just eight games in 2013 before injuries piled up and landed him on the injured reserve list. Foster underwent back surgery in November.

Now, less than 24 hours after the Texans watched Tate bolt town, Foster has declared that he will be healthy enough to return to football activities after being cleared by his doctor.

Having Foster back will be a big boost to the Texans offense, especially if he is able to return to the level he was performing at before being injured in Week 8, but the team will still need to go out and find a No. 2 running back in free agency or the draft.

Foster is still capable of carrying the load, but the injury concerns should lead Houston to invest in another rusher in case Foster is unable to last a full 16 games.
