Veteran defensive end Jared Allen is still searching for a new home after being patient throughout the first week of free agency but now appears to have narrowed his final decision down to two teams.
Allen met with the Seattle Seahawks and Dallas Cowboys earlier this week before taking a few days to weigh his options, and he is returning to Seattle on Thursday for his second visit with the team, according to ESPN's Ed Werder.
Last season, Allen showed that he still has plenty left in the tank, racking up 11.5 sacks and 52 tackles, but his reported asking price of $10 million per year is likely a bit too steep for some of his potential suitors.
Now, with the market beginning to settle, Allen could be lowering his demands in hopes of finding a new home.
There were some reports that Allen would consider walking away from football if he didn't get a contract that he felt was proper value, but it is now looking like he will do what it takes to sign with a team and continue his playing career in 2014.
