Last week, reports began to surface that Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson was on thin ice with the team and that he was just one misstep away from being shipped away. The questions about Jackson's future with the Eagles bothered the receiver, and now he could be looking for a way out.
According to the Allentown Morning Call, a source very close to Jackson said there is "no way" he will return to the team in 2014.
"There is no way he's an Eagle this year," the person close to Jackson told the Allentown Morning Call. "However it leaked out, it leaked out, and now this is what you have."
Adding to the speculation that Jackson is a goner, Eagles beat writer Nick Fierro said, "Jackson is out of here for sure, and long before the NFL draft too."
Jackson had his best season in 2013, setting career highs in receptions and receiving yards with 82 and 1,332, respectively, and tying his career high in touchdowns with nine.
