South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney has been praised as one of the most talented defensive prospects in nearly a decade, but questions continue to hang over his head surrounding his work ethic and dedication to the game of football.

After Clowney's production dropped off in his junior campaign, the questions grew louder, but there is at least one man that dismisses any of those concerns.

“Everyone talks about how he doesn’t work hard. That kid worked his [butt] off,” said Clowney's trainer, Jed Hartigan of Velocity Sports Performance, via the Charlotte Observer. “He might not have worked hard before, but right now he’s training really, really hard.”

Clowney conducted his pro day on Wednesday to give teams around the league another look at his talent, but the most important part of the pre-draft process will come when he has private meetings and interviews with potential teams.

The concerns about drive don't bother Clowney.

“I think my work ethic's pretty good," Clowney told NFL Network's Mike Mayock during his pro day. "You're getting a hard worker and a guy who's great in the locker room. Someone who wants to win. It's about winning. Football -- the fun is in winning. So I hope everyone around me wants to win also. That's what I bring.”
