Maurice Jones-Drew signed with the Oakland Raiders during free agency, where he will compete with Darren McFadden for the team's starting running back gig. Jones-Drew's teams have largely hovered around the bottom of the league throughout his eight-year career, and few believe the Raiders are currently fielding a postseason-worthy roster.

But as far as Jones-Drew is concerned, the team's new quarterback, Matt Schaub, who holds the NFL record for consecutive games featuring a pick-six, is capable of leading the Raiders to a Super Bowl.

"You can definitely [make the Super Bowl with Matt Schaub at quarterback]," Jones-Drew said during an interview on Sirius' Mad Dog Sports Radio. "[Schaub] has something to prove this year. I know Matt Schaub is a guy who can lead us."

Jones-Drew admitted that his final choice in free agency came down to the Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots and Raiders.

Both the Steelers and Patriots would seem to provide Jones-Drew with an easier path to the Super Bowl, but Jones-Drew has all of the confidence in Schaub and the Raiders, who finished the season 4-12 and last made the postseason and Super Bowl in 2002.
