Are the Rams
really interested in Jadeveon Clowney or are they just trying to drum up interest in the No. 2 pick? (Jim Dedmon/Icon SMI)
South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is one of the top players available in the 2014 NFL draft, if not the best. So he will have a busy schedule leading up to May's draft as teams around the league bring him in for pre-draft visits to get a closer look at him as a player and a person.
One of the teams that will be welcoming Clowney is the St. Louis Rams, the proud owners of the No. 2 pick in the draft thanks to the Washington Redskins.
According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Rams will visit with Clowney on Friday.

St. Louis is already loaded at defensive end with Robert Quinn and Chris Long, but you can never have too many pass rushers in this league. They could also be using the visit with Clowney to show teams around the NFL that they would consider him with the No. 2 overall pick, in hopes of triggering a trade.
The Houston Texans
own the top pick in May and are expected to take either Clowney, Johnny Manziel or Blake Bortles. But if the team decides to go in the direction of a quarterback then things will get interesting as we wait to see where Clowney lands.
