Free agent quarterback Matt Flynn will remain with the Green Bay Packers next season, according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports.

Flynn began the 2013 campaign with the Oakland Raiders but was released by the team in October and signed by the Buffalo Bills, who also cut Flynn after only one month on the team.

He eventually returned to Green Bay to fill in for an injured Aaron Rodgers and Seneca Wallace, starting four games and throwing for seven touchdowns and 1,146 yards while completing 102 of 166 passes.

The six-year NFL veteran was rumored to be heading to New York to work out for the Giants earlier this week, but those plans fell through as contract talks with Green Bay heated up.
