Washington Redskins raving about a healthy Robert Griffin III

In recent weeks, the reports about Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III all have been positive. Many people believe that he will be able to return to his rookie form after a disappointing year in 2013, and even a handful of his teammates seem to be jumping on board with the praise.

The latest to speak out on Griffin's progress are Washington receiver Santana Moss and former tight end Chris Cooley.

“He looks more comfortable, because he doesn’t have to worry about that brace,” Moss said, via Dan Steinberg of the Washington Post. “I think the brace was the big discomfort last year. You know, he’s a young guy with those fiery legs that want to do so much, and that brace probably gave him a little pinch in the behind, because he couldn’t do the things that he was normally accustomed to doing.

"You can already see, when we’re out there in conditioning and stuff, he’s running around, looking like the old Robert Griffin.”

Moss' comments fall right in line with those who believe Griffin was slowed down by the bulky brace last season, and that he was never fully comfortable when dropping back in the pocket and stepping into his throws.

Cooley apparently was more impressed following his workout with Griffin, and seemingly could not contain his excitement.

It’s unbelievable,” Cooley said, via ESPN 980. “He’s another person right now. I was like, ‘you’re running unbelievably well.’ It was silly to watch. When you watch him run, you’re like ‘You’re a freak. You’re seriously a freak.’”

If Griffin is as healthy as everyone is making it seem, the Redskins will be thrilled. After a disappointing 2013 campaign, they're hoping to make a drastic turnaround and go on a playoff run to show that they are the best team in the NFC East. Also fueling their optimism is the addition of free-agent wide receiver DeSean Jackson.
