In order to succeed at the highest level of any sport, you need to have the self confidence that you are better than the man lined up against you. For Missouri Tigers defensive end Kony Ealy, that confidence is certainly there and has led to him making some bold claims.
While many people believe Jadeveon Clowney is the best defensive prospect in the past decade, Clowney's SEC counterpart has a different idea.
As far as Ealy is concerned. He is the best defensive end available in this year's draft.

“I feel like I’m the best guy in this draft, period,” Ealy said, via Tom Pelissero of the USA Today. “And that’s not a cocky thing -- that’s just a confidence thing. It’s not just talk. It’s been proven. My numbers show for it. My size and speed and agility show for it. What else can you want?
“There’s no knocking [Clowney], but I’m the best defensive end in this draft. I may not have a whole lot of hype, but I don’t [need] anybody to acknowledge me.”
Ealy is an athletic pass rusher with a quick first step and the length to get in passing lanes if he is unable to reach the quarterback.
He certainly won't be selected before Clowney, but there is a good chance that he could be a first-round pick and one of the first three players at his position off of the board. Once he has his home, he can set out to prove to everyone that he is as good as he believes.
