Thirty players have been invited to attend the 2014 NFL draft next week at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, and they will finally learn where they will begin their professional football careers when commissioner Roger Goodell takes the podium and calls their names. As each player takes the stage, he poses with Goodell for pictures while holding his new team's jersey and draft cap.
Since taking over as the official cap supplier of the NFL, New Era has largely rolled out modest, traditional designs for those draft caps, but this year they are mixing things up for their 2014 draft cap collection, which will be unveiled in full on Thursday.
Through USA Today, New Era has revealed a few examples of the hats that the players will wear when they take the stage.
The 2014 collection features a fancy mosaic design on the brim of the cap that includes the team logo, city name, team nickname and the abbreviation fans see in box scores. The body of the hat keeps the traditional look, with the primary team color and logo.
