With Josh Gordon potentially facing a season-long suspension, the Cleveland Browns could use some help at wide receiver. They finally brought in reinforcements Thursday, announcing that they had agreed to terms with former Cowboy Miles Austin.

Austin has struggled to stay healthy for three seasons now, often dealing with lingering hamstring problems which resulted in the Monmouth College star only playing in 37 games total over that span.

Given the available free agent alternatives, the Browns could certainly do a lot worse than Austin. He's not overly reliable, but when he's healthy, he produces, last posting 943 yards and six touchdowns in 2012.

Gordon, who led the NFL in receiving yards last season despite missing the first two games of the season, faces a lengthy suspension as result of a positive drug test. The Browns -- who reportedly knew about the suspension heading into the draft -- failed to add a single receiver in the draft, leaving the team with a wideout corps of Andrew HawkinsNate Burleson (who suffered a fractured arm in minicamp), Travis Benjamin and Earl Bennett, who they signed Thursday as well.

On Friday morning, the Browns cut Greg Little after three seasons with the team, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. None of the remaining members of Cleveland's new-look receiving corps is even in Gordon’s vicinity in terms of talent or production.
