Denver Broncos' coach thinks Peyton Manning can play three to five more years

We've already heard that both Tom Brady and Drew Brees are open to playing into their 40s and the same may ring true for Peyton Manning.

A few months removed from turning 38, Manning isn't slowing down, and Denver Broncos strength and conditioning coach Luke Richesson believes the quarterback has a handful of good seasons left.

"In my mind, he could play another three to five years," Richesson said. "It's not crazy to think that."

It was just a few months ago that Manning himself seemed unsure of his NFL future. Manning underwent four neck surgeries in 2011, costing him an entire season, and his Broncos' contract was contingent on him passing a physical every offseason. (He passed this year's physical in early March.)

Understandably, Manning is a bit more reserved when predicting how many more seasons he'll play.

"I never had a set number of years I wanted to play," he said. "I did set a goal to play for one team. I think that should be a goal for any player. I've considered this the second chapter of my career. I've felt better than I thought I would."

Broncos receiver Demaryius Thomas says Manning is getting better with age, suggesting that he dropped a pass during team activities on Thursday afternoon because the quarterback threw it too hard.
