ST. LOUIS (AP) --The St. Louis Blues, coming off a 109-point season, have signed general manager Doug Armstrong to a five-year contract extension.

Armstrong was the NHL general manager of the year last season as the Blues won their first Central Division title since 2000, tied for the second-best point total in the league and were the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference for the playoffs.
