The St. Louis Blues have invited unrestricted free agent forward Paul Bissonnette to a tryout at training camp, the team announced Tuesday

Bissonnette spent the last five seasons with the Phoenix Coyotes, and registered two goals and six assists in 39 games last season.

The 29-year-old is a former fourth-round draft pick by the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2003.

I'm excited to be here. It's a really good group of guys," Bissonnette said. "I know I have to come in and make a team, and I don't even know if there are spots available. (But I) have to showcase and try to make a team."

Blues training camp begins on Friday.
