It took about a minute, for the Dallas Stars to lose two players to injury on Friday night.

With about seven minutes left in the game, Stars forward Tyler Seguin took a low hip check from Panthers defenseman Dmitry Kulikov. Seguin labored to get up under his own power, and had to be helped off and was taken down the tunnel to the locker room.

Kulikov got a five-minute major for clipping and a game misconduct for the low blow.

On the ensuing Dallas power play, defenseman John Klingberg's shot from the top of the circle struck teammate Patrick Eaves on the right side of his head, instantly sending him to the ice as well.

Several trainers came on the ice to look at Eaves, who laid on the ground, woozy from the shot. He was eventually able to get up, but had to be helped up and off the ice by teammates. Photos from game show a large gash on Eaves' cheek.

Those two weren’t the only Stars that left the game early as Ales Hemsky left with a lower body injury in the first period and did not return.

Updates on all three injuries were not available immediately following the game.

While Eaves and Hemsky have both scored less than 10 goals, Seguin is currently third in the NHL with 29 goals, just eight behind his total last season.

Seguin is also third in the league with 59 points.
