Colorado Avalanche forward Nathan MacKinnon announced his presence with authority against the visiting New York Rangers on Friday night at the Pepsi Center.

The third-year forward and 2013 first-overall draft pick danced his way around Rangers defender Dan Girardi maneuvering his way toward the net, catching blueliner Ryan McDonagh flat-footed. The 20-year-old former Calder Trophy winner finished if off by sneaking a shot from the goalline past Henrik Lundqvist.

ROUNDTABLE: McDavid out, who becomes Calder Trophy frontrunnner?

Not too shabby for the young gun, who now has six goals and 15 points in 14 games on the season.
