Rangers send Etem to Canucks for Jensen, 6th round pick

NEW YORK (AP) The New York Rangers have traded forward Emerson Etem to the Vancouver Canucks for AHL forward Nicklas Jensen and a sixth-round pick in the 2017 NHL draft.

Rangers general manager Jeff Gorton announced the deal Friday.

Etem, who was acquired in a trade in June with Anaheim for Carl Hagelin, had three assists in 19 games with the Rangers. He spent his first three seasons with the Ducks.

Jensen had four goals and eight assists in 27 games with the Utica Comets. The 22-year-old Danish player has three goals and three assists in 24 NHL games over parts of three seasons, all with the Canucks.

Jensen was selected by the Canucks in the first round of the 2011 NHL draft.
