The Ottawa Senators have hired Guy Boucher as their next head coach, the team announced Sunday.

Boucher, 44, previously served as the coach of the Tampa Bay Lightning before being fired during the 2012–13 season. He led the team to a 97–78–20 record during his tenure, appearing in the Eastern Conference finals his first season.

Since leaving Tampa Bay, Boucher has worked for SC Bern in Switzerland, going 44–29–5 over parts of the last three season.
