It's probably unfair to make the assumption, as the original posters of this video did, that this on-ice official took the concept of beer league hockey a bit too literally. After all, there could be any number of explanations for his unsteady approach to officiating. He might have been suffering from some sort of inner ear infection that affected his equilibrium. Maybe he was trying to get in a few reps before the Illinois state figure skating finals. Or maybe he was just waiting for this opportunity to showcase the greatest icing wave-off in history.

We may never know what led to this epic performance, but we sure are grateful someone caught it on video. Enjoy! s/t to faithful reader Jackson Copley
