VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) -- Canada is keeping forward Ryan Getzlaf on its men's Olympic hockey team, a week after he was injured.

Rosters had to be set by Monday, the day before the men's tournament begins. Unlike the Turin Games, teams don't have the luxury of having extra players to use in case of injury.

Canada's first game is Tuesday against Norway.

Getzlaf likely sealed his spot on the team Sunday with two goals and two assists for the Anaheim Ducks in his first game after spraining his left ankle.

Hockey Canada executive director Steve Yzerman asked Philadelphia Flyers forward Jeff Carter to travel to Vancouver in case Getzlaf wasn't cleared to play.
