Katie Ledecky, Michael Phelps star in USA swim carpool karaoke

The men's and women's USA swimming teams joined forces for a carpool karaoke video.

It’s only a matter of time before carpool karaoke videos become the sole way to disseminate information in America, with magazines and newspapers falling to the wayside as we consume news in every way from stars singing nostalgic hits to blatant product placement.

The latest group to succumb to the carpool karaoke craze (made famous by James Corden of The Late Late Show) is the USA Olympic swim team. The men and women join forces here, as all of your favorite swimmers pop up to sing tunes such as Miley Cyrus’s “Party in the USA” and Zac Brown Band’s “Chicken Fried.”

As far as carpool karaoke videos go, this one is quite successful, as everyone seems to give a decent effort. I particularly respect the people who performed while in their swim gear, though the lobsters were also a nice touch.

It’s also not the first time the swimmers have put together a singing video—who can forget their infamous “Call Me Maybe” turn in 2012?

Can’t wait to see what they have in store for 2020.
