U.S. men's national team player Julian Green has been called up to Bayern Munich's first team for the club's upcoming tour of the United States, a club spokesman confirmed to MLSsoccer.com.

Green spent last season playing for Bayern's reserve team. He had previously played for the club's youth squad from 2010 to 2013.

At 19, Green became the youngest U.S. player to score in a World Cup with his extra-time goal against Belgium in the Round of 16.

Bayern's U.S. tour begins Aug. 1 with a friendly against Chivas Guadalajara at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey. They will face the MLS All-Stars on Aug. 7 in Portland, Oregon.
