Ecuador winger Jefferson Montero has signed a four-year deal with Swansea City, the team announced Thursday.
Montero signed for an undisclosed fee, which The Guardian reports is believed to be around £4m ($6.8 million).
The 24-year-old was a member of Ecuador's 2014 World Cup team, starting all three of its games. He comes to Swansea from Mexican club Morelia.
According to Swansea, Montero passed his physical and has begun working out with the team.

Montero scored 13 goals across all competitions in 2013-14, adding eight assists.
