The head coach of the United States women's national team, Jill Ellis, announced the 19-player roster the team will take to play Switzerland on Aug. 20 in Cary, N.C.

U.S. Women’s National Team Roster by Position

Goalkeepers: Ashlyn Harris, Hope Solo

Defenders: Crystal Dunn, Julie Johnston, Meghan Klingenberg, Ali Krieger, Christie Rampone, Becky Sauerbrunn

Midfielders: Morgan Brian, Lauren Holiday, Carli Lloyd, Allie Long, Heather O’Reilly, Megan Rapinoe

Forwards: Sydney Leroux, Alex Morgan, Christen Press, Amy Rodriguez, Abby Wambach 

18 of the 19 players named will suit up for the match.

The game will be the team's 13th of 2014; USA is 7-2-3 this year.

The match will likely be goalkeeper Holo Solo's first shot to break the USA’s all-time shutout record. Solo is tied with Briana Scurry at 71 career shutouts.

The United States women's national team has never played Switzerland at the senior level.
