Julio Cesar leaves QPR, signs with Benfica
Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar has left Queens Park Rangers by mutual consent and signed a two-year deal with Portuguese club Benfica, the clubs said in separate announcements.
Cesar could start for Benfica after Jon Oblak left for Atletico Madrid this summer.
Cesar, 34, made 27 starts with QPR since joining the club in August 2012 but spent part of last season on loan with Toronto FC of MLS.
Cesar returned to QPR after playing in this summer's World Cup.
On Thursday's SI Now, Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard discusses his best moment with USMNT and if Howard will play in the next World Cup.
