Napoli has signed midfielder Jonathan De Guzman, the team announced Wednesday.
De Guzman comes to Napoli from Villarreal, where he signed in 2011. He had been on loan to Swansea City for the last two seasons.

Canadian-born, De Guzman gained Dutch citizenship in 2008 and was a member of the Netherlands' 2014 World Cup team in Brazil, where he played three games and picked up an assist.
