Barcelona striker Neymar could miss the team's La Liga opener after injuring his left ankle in training, Barcelona announced Friday.
Barcelona plays Elche in its season opener on Sunday.

The team said Neymar complained about pain in his left ankle after Thursday's training session, and tests confirmed that he has a Grade 1 ankle sprain. Neymar's return to training depends "on how the injury treatment evolves."
Neymar recently came back from fracturing a vertebra in the FIFA World Cup while playing for Brazil in a quarterfinal match against Colombia. He played in a friendly against Leon on Monday and scored two goals.
