Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Real Madrid on Friday against Atlético Madrid in the Super Cup, the BBC reports.
Ronaldo, 29, injured his back during Tuesday's 1-1 draw in the first-leg match. Real coach Carlo Ancelotti said Ronaldo will play and could possibly start.
The Super Cup is an annual event in which the league champions play a two-match series against the Copa del Rey winners.
Under Ancelotti, Real is undefeated in two-legged ties. Overall, Real has won the Super Cup 10 times, and Atlético has won twice.
