The New England Revolution have signed forward Geoffrey Castillion, the team announced on its website.

The 23-year-old former Dutch youth international will wear No. 39 and will be added to the roster following the completion of his visa transfer. He had played in nine games and scored twice for NEC Nijmegen while on loan from Ajax. Casillion spent the first half ot the season with Ajax, making six appearances with the reserves and scoring once before his loan in January.

Revolution general manager Michael Burns called Castillion a "big, strong target forward" and spoke in the report about the significance of his addition to the team:

“Geoffrey is a big, strong target forward with several years of experience in the Dutch first division. He will add a different dynamic to our attack and also give us more options up front. Once he finalizes the immigration process, we’re looking forward to getting him right into training."
